An Arsenal football legend lit up Highbury Square as he turned on the Christmas tree lights.
Former Gunners captain Frank McLintock, who led Arsenal to the double (league and FA Cup victories) in 1970/71, made an appearance on Tuesday evening (December 6).
The Christmas tree was placed where the centre circle at the former Highbury stadium.
At the event, Frank spoke fondly about the night Arsenal defeated Anderlecht in Highbury in 1970 to win their first two European trophies.
He praised the current Gunners squad, and said that he believes the team will challenge for the Premier League title over the next two seasons.
Arsenal Stadium in Highbury was home to the Gunners from 1913 until 2006 and has since been re-developed into the Highbury Square apartment complex.
The team moved into the Emirates Stadium in 2006 - and are currently top of the Premier League by five points.
