Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters are tackling a flat fire in Bartholomew Close in Barbican.
Half of a four-roomed flat on the third floor of a residential block in Bartholomew Close is currently alight.

The Brigade was called at 3.58pm.

The London Fire Brigade says its 999 Control Officers have taken more than 35 calls to the blaze.
Fire crews from Soho, East Greenwich, Lambeth and surrounding fire stations are at the scene.
The cause of the fire is not known at this time.
