A man was taken to hospital following a fire on the ground floor of a four storey block.
Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a blaze at a block of flats in Wray Crescent in Finsbury Park, Islington, at 9.50am on Thursday (July 13) .
Around half of a ground floor flat in a four storey building was destroyed by flames, London Fire Brigade said.
One man evacuated the building before the brigade arrived.
He was treated on scene by London Ambulance Service paramedics and was taken to hospital.
The incident was over by 10.46am.
Fire crews from Holloway, Kentish Town and Shoreditch fire stations attended.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
