A man has been charged after a council worker was allegedly assaulted in his van.
Police were called to Bredgar Road in Archway just after 7.45am on Saturday morning (November 18).
Officers had received reports that a man assaulted and attempted to force another man from his vehicle.
Islington Council has confirmed that one of its workers was attacked while off-duty.
Darren Edwards, 37, of Bredgar Road, is now due to appear in custody today (November 21) at Westminster Magistrates’ Court.
He has been charged with robbery, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, and criminal damage.
Police said he has also been charged with GBH with intent and two counts of assaulting an emergency worker in relation to his arrest on Sunday (November 19).
