Traffic was brought to a standstill as police tended to a man who appeared to be lying injured in the middle of the road.
One officer was seen giving first aid to the man, who was lying on his back in Holloway Road close to the junction with Seven Sisters Road in Holloway, just after 1pm this afternoon (April 9).
A police car had blocked one lane of traffic, and was parked directly in front of the seemingly injured man.
A motorcycle was lying on its side next to him, and a lorry had stopped directly behind.
It is not yet known whether the man was a pedestrian or a motorcyclist, and whether any of the stopped vehicles had been involved in the incident.
The Islington Gazette has contacted the Metropolitan Police for more information about what has happened.
Traffic was backed up towards Holloway Road station throughout the afternoon, although delays have now cleared.
