A high street has been ranked among the top 100 most vibrant in the UK.
Upper Street in Islington placed a number 56 in this year's Vitality Rankings, an annual index that assesses the health of UK retail centres.
The street, part of the A1, runs from close to Angel tube station to Highbury Corner and takes in Islington Green, the Screen on the Green and Islington Assembly Hall, with many independent shops and restaurants.
Luxury destinations flourished this year, with Sloane Street, Chelsea, and Knightsbridge all reaching the top 10.
Cambridge claimed the top spot for the first time since 2019 due to the return of shoppers, tourists, and students.
Also among the top spots are Cobham, London's West End, Kensington, and Richmond.
The Vitality Rankings, compiled annually by Newmark Retail, examine the vacancy rate of shops, shopper spending and footfall figures, among other factors.
Findings showed that many retail destinations and high streets are witnessing a strong resurgence as consumers return to pre-pandemic shopping habits.
Andy Metherell, head of consultancy and analytics at Newmark’s UK & EMEA Retail Practice, said: "Luxury destinations have attained higher positions in this year’s rankings as the cost-of-living crisis – caused by inflation and other economic headwinds – is less likely to impact shoppers in locations like Chelsea, Sloane Street and Knightsbridge.
"Affluent commuter towns have also retained their high positions as local residents are more likely to undertake hybrid working and therefore shop in their local towns more often."
