A new weekly market has arrived in Islington, offering street food and sweet treats.
Just off Upper Street, Islington Square’s Saturday market had its first day at the start of this month (June 1).
The market, which has been put together by Urban Food Fest, has an array of food stalls, deli counters and craft stands for families to enjoy.
Open between 11am and 5pm every Saturday, visitors will also be able to sip on a complimentary drink, which is handed out with any market purchase, in the vintage furniture seating area.
Market vendors include a range of street food, truffle and deli products, sweet treats, and cheeses.
Shops and restaurants permanently located in Islington Square will also be offering a range of promotions on market day.
At homeware store ‘In Residence’, shoppers can enjoy a free bar of Coco chocolate with every purchase over £30, while sofa shop ‘The Lounge Co’ offers 5% off everything.
Market-goers can also enjoy a free drink with any main course at Indian restaurant ‘OMNOM’ between 12pm and 5pm, or pick up free popcorn and tote bag at homeware store ‘Karaca’.
