A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a police officer was hit by a car.
The incident took place after officers on patrol went to speak to the occupants of a car in Holloway Road, having received reports of an altercation.
As an officer approached the car at around 7.40pm yesterday evening (July 21), it drove off and hit them.
The car was then involved in a crash nearby, in Navigator Square, Archway, with the driver making off on foot.
A man was later arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, and then taken to hospital as a precaution.
The officer who was hit by the car is not seriously injured. Police enquiries into the incident continue.
