A man has died in hospital a week after he was stabbed at a station.
Police were called to Seven Sisters station last week (July 23) at 8.48am to reports of a serious assault.
A man, in his 30s was found with life-threatening stab injuries.
According to an eyewitness, the victim was seen “clutching his chest, saying he’d been stabbed”.
The British Transport Police (BTP) has announced that the man died in hospital this morning (July 30).
Detective Superintendent Sam Blackburn said: “Sadly today we can confirm the victim has died in hospital following the attack and we have launched a murder investigation.
“My thoughts are with his family and loved ones as they navigate their loss, we continue to provide support through specialist officers.”
A man, 20, was previously charged with with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon on July 28.
Police are now in touch with the Crown Prosecution Service following today's update.
