A teenage boy has died after being stabbed and crashing a motorbike in Islington.
The boy, 16, was found injured in Beechcroft Way just before 12.15am today (October 22).
At this early stage of investigations, it is believed that the teenager was riding a motorbike and crashed into a lamppost.
But when he was examined by medics at the scene, a suspected knife injury was found.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: "Medics treated the victim at the scene in an attempt to save his life but sadly, despite their efforts he died at the scene. His family has been notified. We await formal identification.”
At the moment there a number of crime scenes in place, including Courtauld Road where is it believed an altercation took place, and Sussex Road.
A post-mortem examination is scheduled in due course and no arrests have been made at this time, although enquiries are ongoing.
