The best spots to enjoy a Sunday roast in London have been named by the Good Food Guide.
The guide has announced its top 50 best Sunday roasts in Britain this year, with five London places to eat selected.
The Red Lion & Sun in Highgate Village was also among the best places to enjoy Britain's “most famous dish”.
The pub's website says: ”Our menu can be described as rustic modern British pub food.
“All our meats are supplied by Phyllis and Lee Harper at Highgate Butchers, and all other produce is carefully sourced from respected producers locally wherever possible.”
Lagom at Hackney Church Brew Co was awarded the best value Sunday roast out of all 50 places.
Sunday roasts are available every Sunday from 12pm until they run out. However, the eatery is so well-known for its delicious meals that customers are advised to book over a month in advance – with 12pm being the quietest time to book.
Elsewhere in the capital, The Devonshire in Soho, The Holland in Kensington and The Canton Arms in Stockwell all made the list on the Good Food Guide.
The Blacklock in Canary Wharf was also awarded the best Sunday roast for group dining.
The Good Food Guide was first compiled in 1951 and continues to this day to help readers find the best places to eat.
