Around 35 people were evacuated this morning after a fire broke out in a three-storey maisonette in Islington.
The fire occurred in a maisonette spanning the ground to second floors of a ten-storey building on Bakers Field at 4.14am today (November 21).
Half of the ground and first floors, along with part of the second floor, were damaged by the blaze.
Residents were evacuated and taken to a nearby rest centre, with no reports of injuries.
Around 60 firefighters from Kentish Town, Holloway, Islington, and other nearby stations responded to the fire after eight 999 calls.
The fire was brought under control by 5.39am, and the cause is under investigation.
A London Fire Brigade spokesperson said: "The Brigade's FSG app enables Control Officers to manage incidents like this one, where multiple people within a building have contacted the Brigade and require at times lifesaving advice on staying safe.
"The app also allows information to be quickly and accurately exchanged between Control Officers and firefighters at the scene so safety advice can reflect any changes as the incident develops."
A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade said: “Eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters tackled a fire at a residential block of flats on Bakers Field in Islington at 4.14am today (November 21).
“The Brigade's 999 Control Officers received around eight calls to this fire.
“Control Officers mobilised crews from Kentish Town, Holloway, Islington and surrounding fire stations to the scene.
“The fire was under control by 5.39am.
“The cause of the fire is under investigation.”
